‘What you saying BBZ?’ is a collection of messages, letters and musing from various queer, trans and non binary people of colour.

Responding to the question ‘what you saying BBZ?’, a black British colloquial term used to address a person’s physical, emotional and mental state at that present moment.

A ‘how are you, where are you at, what’s on your mind’ kind of conversation. With QTPOC communities being pushed further underground as a result of the closure of various nightclubs and institutions, BBZ is creating space for those voices to be heard out of the shadows without fear of backlash or the forced emotional labour of explaining or validating their opinions.
