Peckham Festival Launch Party 2017 – Thanks for coming!

The buzz at the Launch Party for this year’s Peckham Festival was a great reminder of what made 2016’s event a success: Heaps of enthusiastic Peckhamites getting together to chat about their ideas and make connections, all the while keeping the bar staff at The NINES pretty busy.

Festival Co-director Jordana opened the night with news about this year’s exciting plans for the festival which takes place between 14-17th September 2017.

With the number of art hubs, activities, and visitors increasing, we plan to pedestrianise Blenheim Grove during the weekend to make way for dancing, performances, parades, food stalls and more fun in partnership with the neighbouring businesses.

Amongst our guests were last year’s volunteers and participants, many of whom are already back on board and brimming with ideas to make 2017 even bigger and better.

We could not create such a wonderful weekend of events without the support of our sponsors who this year include: Copeland Park, Acorn, Peckhamplex and Southwark Council. We are also excited to be working with Cultureshock Media to produce the brochure, and the Peckham Peculiar as our media partner.

Having officially toasted to the kick-off, the team have got their festival hats firmly back on and are ready for any suggestions for participation!
