Peckham Voices

Peckham-born musician/folklorist Gwendolen von Einsiedel also draws inspiration from her hometown’s diversity, which she is sharing in her Peckham Voices project.
Peckham Voices has been set up to celebrate and honour all the stories and diverse experiences that make up our unique community. Peckham Voices is the creation of an online archive of Peckham’s stories – from work, play, love, heritage and experiences of change.
Over the Peckham Festival weekend a travelling booth will collect audio interviews, the archive will be stored online. All those who take part will be given a CD and electronic copies of their interviews and a place in the public archive. Next year the stories will also feature as part of a wider exhibition at Copeland Gallery.
Do you live in Peckham and have a story to tell? Wherever you come from, whatever you do, if you live locally then we want to hear from you!
